Ever wonder what happens when balloon artists from across the industry get together?
For us, it means creativity, collaboration, learning, and a whole lot of balloons!
Our team recently had the incredible opportunity to be part of Guild Con 2026, an event created by The Balloon Guild to help balloon decorators grow their businesses, develop their skills, and continue doing what they love for a living.
Five of our own artists and entertainers were directly involved in the builds and convention, and we couldn’t be more excited to share some of what they helped create.
🎈 More Than Just a Convention
Guild Con is about much more than admiring impressive balloon decorations. It’s an opportunity for artists and professionals in the balloon industry to come together, share ideas, learn new techniques, and challenge themselves creatively.
For our team, being part of the experience meant stepping outside of our usual projects and getting to work alongside other talented balloon artists.
That’s one of our favorite things about the event industry: there’s always something new to learn.
Even experienced artists can discover a new technique, approach a familiar design differently, or get inspired by someone else’s creative process.
🌟 Five Artists, Endless Creativity
Having five of our artists and entertainers directly involved made this experience especially exciting for YTE Events.
Each person brought their own skills, ideas, and perspective to the projects. When you put a group of creative people in a room surrounded by balloons, you never quite know what they’re going to come up with!
Some of the builds featured elegant and sophisticated designs, while others were completely whimsical and larger-than-life.
We worked on everything from a glamorous New Year’s Eve display in black, gold, and champagne to a jungle filled with animal balloon sculptures.
Then there was an underwater adventure featuring a giant shark, octopus, and fish swimming through a colorful ocean scene.
And we can’t forget the high-flying hot air balloon design!
Each project demonstrated just how versatile balloon art can be.
🥂 From New Year’s Eve to the Jungle
One of the exciting builds featured a New Year’s Eve theme using black, gold, and champagne. The sophisticated color palette showed how balloon décor can create an elegant atmosphere for an adult celebration.
Then things took a wild turn with a jungle-themed build featuring balloon animals.
These types of projects are a great reminder that balloons aren’t limited to arches and garlands. With creativity and skill, they can become recognizable characters, animals, scenery, and even entire environments.
🦈 An Underwater World Made from Balloons
One of the most eye-catching concepts was an underwater scene featuring a large balloon shark and octopus, along with fish swimming throughout the design.
Creating something like this requires more than simply knowing how to twist balloons. Artists have to think about shape, proportion, structure, color, placement, and how all the individual pieces work together to create one cohesive scene.
The finished result is the kind of installation that makes people stop and look—and that’s exactly what great event décor should do.
🎈 What Happens at Guild Con Doesn’t Stay at Guild Con
One of the most exciting parts of attending an event like this is knowing that the ideas and techniques our team learned can eventually make their way into future YTE Events projects.
When artists continue learning and experimenting, our clients benefit too.
New skills can lead to new designs. New inspiration can lead to more creative event concepts. And working alongside other professionals can introduce us to ideas we may never have encountered on our own.
That’s how the industry continues to grow.

💛 Celebrating Creativity and Community
Events like Guild Con are a great reminder that creativity thrives when people share it.
We love what we do, but getting to learn from and collaborate with other talented artists makes the experience even better. Every new project brings an opportunity to try something different, learn something new, and find another way to turn a client’s big idea into something real.
