We are super excited here in the YTE Balloon Decor offices as we have been building tons and tons of Lightning themed balloon decor.
It all started with a small balloon figure that Brandon (one of our talented balloon twisters) made for a Lightning representative at Top Golf in Brandon. She handed him her card and Brandon promised we would deliver her an awesome balloon once we got back to the office on Monday. We followed through and ended up making Thunder Bug for her. It was a pretty decent size too and her whole office loved it!
She immediately shot us over an email and asked what we would be able to do by Wednesday. We had one week to figure out how to put something together that would be awesome and cool that everyone would love. Of course, this is the Lightning and we wanted to impress them too. So, we started planning and came up with a VERY rough balloon collage to give her an idea of what we were looking to put together. It involved balloon hockey players, helmets, football players, hockey sticks, and even included some balloon decor pieces we were not sure we could even do with such a short notice. Somehow she was able to look past the football players and the wrong color jerseys and she hired us to put together an awesome Lightning display for one of her private events. It was a smaller event to try us out, but it was really cool. There was live music, cigar rollers, Lightning swag, snacks, drinks, and even some pretty cool photo opportunities.
The event turned out awesome and she loved the balloon figures we made. Now, Waiting to see if we can get some more business!
Update:
We got more business! The lightning won their game 2-0 last night and we are now in the Stanley Cup final. So, we got to put together another quote. Check out what we are building now! We are doing 2 arches, 2 Stanley Cup balloon sculptures, a giant Thunderbug sculpture, a balloon wall, and are even providing some balloon twisting entertainment during the game as well. We can upload photos after we finish on Wednesday with the build. Looking forward to it!
