The Tampa Museum of Art recently announced plans for a $68 million expansion and renovation. This new addition will add 51,000 square feet of space to the museum. The new building will feature a crystalline four-story building and luminous event spaces. The new addition is being designed by New York-based Weiss/Manfredi Architecture/Landscape/Urbanism, which also designed the Brooklyn Botanical Garden visitor center.
The Tampa Museum of Art’s collection of antiquities is particularly impressive. Among the pieces in the collection is the Joseph Veach Noble Collection, which was acquired by the museum in 1986 and recently received an exhibition catalog.
