Shoot for the stars with a space party!

We’ve all been to a party where we wished for a rocket ship that would magically appear and take us far away from the stress of everyday life. Well, now’s your chance! We’re giving you all the tools you need to plan the coolest space party ever. You’ll have so much fun, it’ll be out of this world!

It’s a simple fact that kids love space. They love the idea of it, they love watching movies about it, and they definitely love talking about it. So if you’re looking to plan a party that will be a hit with your little astronauts, look no further than planning a space-themed party. Want some ideas? Try these:

  • Plan around an event in the space program. Did you know that Apollo 11 landed on the moon 50 years ago this year? If your child is obsessed with all things lunar landing—and who isn’t?—a “Moon Landing” party could be just what you need to get them excited about turning seven! Make sure to invite Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong along as guests, you may get an autograph returned after they get their invitation!
  • Follow in Star Trek’s footsteps by hosting an intergalactic soiree at your home or favorite venue using lights from above (the sun), music from afar (on earth), and food from somewhere else entirely (anywhere but here). If that sounds like too much work for one night off from work then try out our “Exotic Space Party” theme instead; it’s guaranteed not only easy but also fun!

Make a spaceship photobooth

You can make your own spaceship photobooth! Start by finding a space- or vehicle-themed backdrop, like a backdrop from your local party store. Use strong tape to secure the edges of the backdrop to the floor and make sure that it covers as much of an area as possible. Next you will want to gather props for the photo booth. Try using face-in-hole frames, stars and even space helmets if you have them available! (Halloween is a great time to stock up on costume props!)

If you don’t have any face-in-hole frames laying around try making them yourself:

  • Take two cardboard boxes and cut them into trapezoids just big enough so that people can stand inside with their heads sticking outside of one side (make sure they’re not too small!).
  • Cut half circles out at each end of both pieces so there’s enough room for people’s faces inside but also give them plenty of room on either side when they put their heads through these openings. You may want to use duct tape here or something else stronger than masking tape if possible because this step is crucial in preventing any injuries!

Play space-themed games and activities like decorating and launching bottle rockets

Have you ever wondered how to make your own rocket? Well, wonder no more! You can have your very own bottle rocket party, complete with decorations and a launchpad. Here’s what you need:

  • 2×4 boards (enough for all the rockets)
  • Drill and bits (to make holes in the board)
  • Spray paint (if you want them to match the theme)
  • Glue sticks or hot glue gun

Now that you have your supplies, it’s time to get started! First, measure out where on each board you need holes drilled. You should have one hole per bottle rocket so that they fit snugly into place when you are done with decorating them. Next, measure out how many feet apart each hole will be placed on each board—this will depend on how long of an area they need to be set up safely without any chance of falling over or getting damaged by anything else nearby during playtime later on tonight!

Your guests will love exploring space at your party!

If you’re having a party, you want your guests to feel like they’ve really had a good time. That’s why it’s important to make sure there are plenty of games and activities at the event that allow your guests to explore space. For example, if you have some cake or cookies at your party and want everyone to take a piece, consider creating an imaginary solar system for them. Each guest can choose one planet in our solar system (like Mercury or Pluto) and place their cake or cookie on it before eating it! It’s fun for everyone involved because each guest will be able to remember which planet they chose. We hope that we’ve inspired you to throw a space party of your own!
