The Fourth of July is a fun holiday for the family. Fireworks, dinners made on the grill, and outdoor games are iconic for this summertime tradition. To help some parents celebrate in a different way, Glazer’s Children Museum in downtown Tampa wanted some help sprucing up their lobby with some red, white, and blue flair!
The two columns in the picture were made for the entryway to their KidsPort exhibit. Each column has a base with a row of blue, red, and white balloons. A twist of smaller red, white, and blue balloons spirals up the column to a larger band of red balloons. We added this band to make a clear distinction of where the column was so that the excitable kids wouldn’t miss it!
The rest of the column twists up towards the topper. Another trio of red, white, and blue bands of balloons leads up to a huge, white topper. Overall, these columns stood about eight feet tall and sat on either side of the walkway over to KidsPort.
These columns were part of the entire decor set-up we did for Glazer’s that day. Families were lined up outside the museum for this event. We got to see a lot of smiling faces that day – a much better sight than any fireworks!
