We deliver Smiles
Just look at the smiles we delivered to this 94 year old WWII veteran. His family wanted to recognize his milestone birthday, even though we were in the middle of a pandemic and the family had been socially distancing for the safety of their dad.
They had seen on the news where a local fire and police department had participated in a drive by parade for a 6 year old boy who wasn’t able to celebrate his yearly birthday party because of Covid19. This sweet gentleman’s son who lives out of state and couldn’t be here with his dad on his special day had talked with the rest of family and decided that you can never be too old for a parade, especially a surprise one to honor your birthday.
His next call was to us to see what we could do to help make his dad’s yard to be a little more festive. We talked about different scenarios; would he be under a tent so to keep him out of the sun? What if it rained, would the parade be cancelled? They decided to have him set up in the garage to keep him cool and dry and the parade would go on rain or shine. We suggested this decor piece centered over the garage for all to see and he could just sit under it and wave to those who drove by. He was so surprised when he came out to see what the noise was all about.
His neighbors even sang Happy Birthday to him while we were installing it.
